Softball Swept in AMCC Games of the Week at Behrend

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona softball team continued on the road Saturday, when the Lions were dealt a sweep in a doubleheader with Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Penn State Behrend at Behrend Field.

Penn State Behrend (22-8, 10-0 AMCC) posted a 5-2 victory in game one, then dealt Penn State Altoona (13-14, 6-6 AMCC) a 13-5 loss in game two of a doubleheader that was designated as the AMCC Games of the Week.

Men’s Tennis Dominates Mt. Aloysius for Eighth Consecutive Win

ALTOONA, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona men's tennis team held on to its winning streak on Thursday afternoon, when the Lions posted a 9-0 win against Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Mount Aloysius College at The Summit Tennis and Athletic Club.

The Lions (8-3, 4-0 AMCC) secured their eighth victory in a row this season by winning all three doubles matches and all six singles matches to blank Mt. Aloysius (2-12, 0-4 AMCC).

Falcons Roll Past Lions in Monday Tilt

GRANTHAM, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona baseball team returned to action on Monday afternoon, when it suffered a 9-3 loss to Messiah University in a single, nine-inning game at Starry Baseball Field.

In their first action since inclement weather halted a home doubleheader against Wilson last week, the Lions (5-8) struggled to come up with key hits. Penn State Altoona totaled 11 hits as a team but scored just three runs while stranding 12 runners on base.

HOUGHTON, N.Y. – The Penn State Altoona men's volleyball team got back in the win column on Friday night, when the Lions won 3-0 over non-conference opponent Houghton University in Nielsen Center.

Men’s Tennis 2023-24 Season Preview

The Penn State Altoona men's tennis team enters its 2024 spring schedule with high hopes, after competing in a pair of matches last October to get its 2023-24 season underway. ALTOONA, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona women's basketball team returned home Saturday afternoon, and the Lions had their four-game win streak snapped in a 71-61 loss to Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Penn State Behrend at Adler Arena.

Men’s Swimming Bests Lebanon Valley, 142-42

ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona men's swimming team extended their dual meet winning streak to three, as they defeated non-conference opponent Lebanon Valley College, 142-42, Friday night in the Arnold Sports Center.

Penn State Altoona notched 11 first places during the meet to earn its sixth dual meet win of the season. The Lions won both of the meet's relay events, while seven Lion swimmers combined for nine first places in individual events.
