About Me

I am a senior at The Pennsylvania State University of Altoona, graduating in May of 2024 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and two minors in Kinesiology and Media Production. Growing up in Altoona, Pennsylvania, I did not know what my future would look like after graduating high school. I certainly did not see myself at a big university or institution but somewhere smaller and closer to home. Penn State Altoona is just that, a place where I can be close to home and still focus on my courses, friends, and everything in between.

I one day would like to work as a journalist in the sports world particularly at the hockey or football level. In high school my focus relied heavily on my newswriting experience and skills. After graduation I did not believe in having a career in Communications, so I looked to study Kinesiology to become a physical therapist. Halfway through my career at Penn State Altoona I realized that writing and sharing people's stories is my true happiness, so I changed my major to Communications. I have not looked back since and am grateful for all of the opportunities I have received within the Communications department at Penn State Altoona.

I have a multitude of other passions and hobbies that have helped me decide how my future would turn out. I believe that I can accomplish anything that I put my mind to. I am eager to continue learning about the world of journalism as it evolves with mass media and am excited to see what my future holds!
